( here im wearing a quick-Weave that has an invisi-
ble part)
( natural hair before brakage)
Hello new friends and followers!!!,
I'm marina aka mer-mer and I'm super excited to start this blog about my hair and makeup! To start off I'll tell you about my hair history i have had my hair permed from the time i was 12 years of age. around 14 i was left to take care of my own hair (you know how that goes!) . I have since wore a bit of everything braids, weave (sew-ins, glue, quick weaves and even wigs), but mostly my natural. I have never fully abandoned my hair but on the course of wearing all the weave i quickly noticed something. I was wearing it trying to make it as close to real as possible, in some ways i wished that that pack of hair that i spent money on was my own! Then i realized that if i wanted my hair that long i would have to buckle down and put my hair before "being cute" or "fashionable" and most of all that pack of weave. To start myself off of getting my hair to bsl (bra strap length) i have taken it upon myself to start a challenge! I notice that my hair was always dry and i didn't like to moisturize it, because i wanted it "flowy" since then I've found things that work for me!

- Hair type:
- 3c/4a (personally)
- if you have a 3 hair type you will notice that's you either have allot of curls in the shape on a lower case s or Upper case "S" and sometimes even z's! personally i am a z.
- 3's tend to absorb more water and grows faster, than say type 4!
- 4's on the other hand do not absorb allot of water and the hair is usually very easy to break, but type 3c, 4a, and 4b all have this problem anyways
2. Regimen:
- Wash: Once a week ( using matrix biolage hydratant shampoo) <--- this is my miracle worker
- Condition/ deep condition: (using matrix hydrant conditioner)once a week i deep condition for about a hour or two
- Mmoisturize: natural oils ( coconut oil, olive oil, joibla oil, Castor oil) every single day!
- Sealing: this is when you apply a light oil to the end of you hair to stop allot of breakage from happening
- Heating: I personally do not like to blow dry i feel it's unnecessary heat so on the week i flat iron i will air dry and flat iron! i only flat iron my hair every other week!
- Wrapping: when my hair is strength i will wrap my hair using a silk Du rag/ scarf! preferably i like durags I'm a ruff sleeper!!
- Pills/ supplements: biotin 5000mcg once per day! i also try to limit my self to one glass of juice i try to drink water the rest of the day
so that is pretty much it! if you have any questions/ comments feel free!!!!
-xoxo mer-mer
